5 Stars Skip the Podiatrist, Says My Podiatrist!
My podiatrist told me he would have 75% fewer clients if everyone wore Brooks Beasts. These are the best shoes for folks with flat feet and heavy pronation. At first they feel clunky and look big, but you soon get used to it once you realize that your feet don’t hurt anymore! I walked Disney for three straight days in these and never complained, but yet a few hours in trendy shoes and I wince the next morning. I wish Brooks made athletic cleats, I would buy those too.

Money very well spent, and I will never buy any other brand of running shoe but Brooks.

This is my third pair, I am a 6 foot 5 250 lb college 2 sport varsity division 1 athlete. I have flat feet and a herniated disk. I will buy another pair once these ones wear out. They are on the pricy side though and are very big.

I love these Tevas. The last pair I had lasted about 15 years. I bought these hoping they were the same quality, and it looks like they are! They are comfortable, cool, simple, but stylin’. I love ‘em!

1 Star Disappointing compared to past Tevas
Sadly these are not as well made as the same brand/style purchased 5 years ago that I have worn out. The Hurricane 3 “current model” has a very thin sole with very little cushioning and you can feel every rock you walk on. What had made Teva’s the most comfortable sandal I’ve ever owned has been taken away–they may look the same but they are clearly not made the same.

5 Stars No Complaints!
These sandals came quickly and in good condition. I’ve had (basically) the same Tevas before so I knew what to expect. In my opinion they’re the best active sandal for their price. I had my last pair for about eight years before I finally gave them up, and used them in water, for hiking, etc. I got these for my husband, who’s new to Tevas, and he loves them too. Nice color also.

4 Stars Fabulous Shoe But Runs Small
MBTs are the most amazing shoe! I have suffered with plantar fasciitis for about one year and have tried everything except surgery to relieve the pain. I bought a pair of the sandels and they relieved the pain immediately. I wore them out and so I bought these tennis shoes in the same size, however they ran more narrow and 1/2 size shorter. Otherwise, I love, love, love them!

5 Stars Back pain? GONE!
I’ve been wearing these shoes for 2 1/2 years. I bought them because I hoped it would help me with my daily back pain (I was taking antiinflamatories on a daily basis). Let me also tell you that I’m active. I’m used to aerobic exercise, and I’m fit. Running is my passion and I didn’t want to give it up. It was like this, I would wake up pain free, would run on the treadmil and stretch, run some errands and there she was the back pain. Then she’ll visit with me till the end of the day. Of course it kept getting worse, till the point I would get out of bed pain free and after walking around the house a little bit there she was the back pain waiting on me to keep me company for the rest of the day.

I was researching on the internet when I bumped into these shoes. Actually I was looking for some Birkenstocks when I found MBTs. I was so desperate to come up with a solution for my back pain that I made my husband drive me to Texas, about 70 miles far from where I live, to Frisco so that I could get them that very same day. I didn’t want having to wait for the MTBs being shipped and stuff.

They advise you to get started little by little and there is a DVD and a pamphlet that cames along with instructions. Anyway, I put MBTs on and got out of the store, did grocery shopping and the relief was so big I wore the shoes for the rest of the day. Next day I put them on when I woke up (literally) and ever since I’ve wore it for 2 years straight. Sandals in the summer and sneakers in the winter. I like the sandals best. No more pain, no more pills. Although I am fit, my legs got a little bit tired during the first week or so because you start using muscles that might have never been requested before. In the past 6 months I haven’t been wearing them as often, I just walk on them when I exercise on the treadmil (running on them is pretty tough, it’s like running on very soft sand) and I also make sure I have them on when cleanning the house and traveling. These sandals are just perfect for traveling. I’m brazilian married to an american, so I visit my country often and a 10 hour flight can get your feet pretty swollen. Studies show that you still maintain your good posture for 2 or 3 days when not wearing the MBTs.

Bottom line, they took my back pain away for good. I was told they might loose their cushioning after a year but no. Good quality shoes, I’m still wearing the first pair of sandals and sneakers I bought. As far as muscular improvement I havent’ noticed much since I was already fit when I started wearing them. I’ve seen websites that would advertise the fact that these shoes improve your celulite and things like that. MBT Company is very serious and doesn’t mention anything like that. I know that some fancy spas do sell them. MBTs are bulky and heavier than normal shoes but nevertheless very comfortable.

When you find something that takes your pain away like I found relief in these pair of shoes, you stick with it.

4 Stars MBT Sneakers
They are comfortable to walk in - I have not used them as much as I intended so I cannot vouch for the claims for the leg toning. They do run small, I usually wear a shoe between 7 and 7 1/2. I ordered the 7 1/2 and probably should have gotten an 8. I have to wear very thin socks but it’s manageable.

5 Stars Same distance, better workout!
These shoes are great. They took a bit of getting used to for the first few wears, but they absolutely add exertion to my walk - and my calves are looking great.

Also, the jarring of my lower back (when my heels hit the ground in regular shoes) is gone.

My only complaint is that MBT do not offer more “animal cruelty free” styles…but I am happy that these ones are.

5 Stars Love them, but go bigger
I got them the other day, and they are so comfortable. After reading the reviews my mother and I went to a store to determine our sizes, I am half a size larger. HOWEVER my mom has a wide foot and had to go a full size larger. I suggest going to a store (if you can find one nearby) that sells them and getting sized then ordering online if it is cheaper or if the store does not have the color/shoe style you want in stock.

WARNING: the store clerk told us to be careful walking up and down stairs in these shoe as it can feel akward at first. He was right, and you need to be careful on escaltors and getting in and out of the car in them. While it has only been a full day wearing them I already noticed a difference (for the better) in my posture.

I really like these shoes, and would recommend them to anyone who asked.

The 11’s have already far exceded my expectation! I have the 10’s great shoes BUT, the MINUTE I put on the 11’s!….I knew they were better “balanced” than the 10’s there is a more solid heel control, and the strike dispersment is AMAZING! INCREDIBLE! 5 Stars Amazing, I’m a convert from Saucony
The Asics Gel Nimbus was a delight to run in. I had been formerly using Saucony exclusively. It was just not much of an option to switch after trying them on side by side, and on the track there is no comparison.

Great support and cushion. The ride is not soggy like other shoes that feel like you have a flat on the heel and that’s supposed to be “cushioning”. It’s got a perfect balance of cushioning and resilience.

4 Stars Great shoe, but better than Nimbus 10?
Like the golfer looking for a better wedge and not finding it, I bought these shoes (and every new Asics model that comes out)…fully expecting some technological design edge which will hydroplane me effortlessly across 5-10 more miles a week. Asics builds a great shoe (the best) but this shoe certainly didn’t leapfrog the Nimbus 10 shoe in form or function. Here’s my side-by-side comparison:

* Light Weight. Weight is the same for both the Nimbus 10 and 11 (12.4 oz).

* Toe-box is far roomier (too much?) in the N-11 than the 10. I prefer a tighter fit.

* Sizing in the N-11 is closer to shoe size than the N-10 which seemed to be 1/2 size smaller.

* Heel was more form fitting in the N-10.

* Offset lacing in the N-10 resulted in a tighter fit.

* Cushioning in both shoes is excellent from heel to toe. The N-11 is less “squishier” than the N-10 which is well cushioned but resulted in a firmer ride.

* I much preferred the traditional design/look of the N-11 over the N-10.

Nothing beats an Asics however, bottom line for me - the N-10 has the edge over the N-11 with its better fit from heel to toe. And with retailers looking to clear out the model, the $50 savings is notable.

5 Stars Significant upgrade vs. the 10s
I switched over to Asics last fall, buying 3 pairs of the Nimbus 10s after several years of Brooks. I didn’t need the stability of the Brooks, and the Nimbus is a step closer to neutral (it’s considered “Neutral Plus” because of the extra cushioning and support).

Switching from the Brooks stability shoe to the Asics neutral took some getting used to–the Brooks have a wider toe-box, but after about two weeks, I definitely think the switch helped my running and I was more efficient. I have put about 300 miles or on each pair, switching each day on roads, trails, and treadmills, so while not in a “must” buy situation, I thought it was worth giving the 11s a shot–if I didn’t like them I could return them and stock up on more 10s and discount clear-out prices.

Well, I loved them. They have the wider toe-box that I missed from Brooks, and they were super comfortable out of the box. They felt great on the treadmill in the store, and even better on yesterday’s 10 mile road run. Part of it might have just been fresh cushioning in general, but they just felt better on my feet than the 11s. The lacing system is more traditional than the 10s as well, and I think that makes a difference–I don’t like my shoes too snug around the widest part of my foot. The salesperson in the store said they were lighter–maybe so, but not noticeably different. Finally, they look a little cleaner–streamlined, relative to the 10s.

5 Stars Better than the version 10
I got my new shoes on last Friday and to be honest with all they are beatiful. Was a lit bit afraid to punish him over the 300 miles of his lifetime but life is life. Took him out for a run on Saturday 8 miles and i was amazed. He is lighter than the version 10 and still offers the same protection. Going to use him on my first Marathon on May 31st.
